12b Ms Hamnett work for Thursday

Dear 12b
I am away on Thursday 17th September - here is the work I am setting you;
1. Complete the "Maths for Physics" test given out in class and bring to next lesson
2. Read the "Quarks and the weak interaction" article, highlight all the Physics vocabulary you know in one colour and write definitions of each word.  Then highlight all the vocabulary you don't know in another colour and bring to next lesson.
This article is not aimed at confusing you, but mean to show you how far you will get - it probably looks like gobbledygook now but you will understand most of it by just after half term!

Unit 2 revision Sunday 8th June 10am-1pm

Peter Higgs comes to Oxford!

Professor Peter Higgs, Professor Emeritus, University of Edinburgh comes to Oxford to talk about his work. Online registration for this event is required, register online here. The lecture will be held in the Andrew Wiles Building, Mathematical Institute (fully booked). There will also be a mixed live stream of the lecture to the Martin Wood Lecture Theatre and the Lindemann Lecture Theatre in the Clarendon Laboratory. A drinks reception will follow on both sites.
